The 46th edition of the Feria Internacional de Franquicias de México (FIF), one of the largest franchising events in Latin America, generated USD 400,000 in new business for companies participating in Franchising Brasil — the result of a partnership between the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF).
The Brazilian delegation, which traveled to Mexico City and participated in the event that took place between March 2nd and 4th, was made up of five franchises. Among these are Casa do Construtor, Emporium da Beleza, Emagrecentro, Energy Brasil and Hospital Popular Veterinário. In addition to securing a space at the event’s Brazilian stand, the brands fulfilled an extensive business agenda, which included a visit to the Brazilian Embassy in Mexico for a joint seminar with the Mexican Franchising Association regarding business opportunities in the country.
“This mission was very well worked and very well elaborated”, says Bruno Arena, expansion director at the Casa do Construtor franchise. “We had a number of people from the Brazilian Embassy in Mexico and the Mexican Franchise Association to host us and welcome businessmen who want to invest in the Mexican market. We also had good leads, capable people, who came very assertively to talk to us about the possibility of the business model that we, Brazilians, are bringing to Mexico”, he concludes.
“We returned with a feeling of accomplishment after representing Brazil in the first major international franchising event of the year”, says Bruno Amado, Franchising Brasil’s executive manager. “We had the pleasure of accompanying some of the best brands that our market has to offer on this mission, and we have no doubt that even better results await us at the international events we’ll participate in the upcoming months”, concludes Bruno.
